WorkShops
The majority of a project managers time (80+ %) is spend on communication. Effective and efficient workshops can greatly contribute to project success.
SynergySynQ delivers workshops for many stages in a project, varying from scoping, decision making until running lessons learned sessions.
Establishing a Project Management Infrastructure
The success of a project is determined by many factors. Those include of course executive support, a good project manager, defined scope etc. However, a good infrastructure will help making things easier. Infrastructure covers processes and tools and techniques used.
ExperientialProjectManagement
SynergySynQ is a firm believer in learning by doing and has 2 different experiential activities to let teams experience project management.
Both activities can be used for team building, bring project management to live and highlight principles.
PMDome
PMDOME is an amazing 1-3 day experiential activity where participants experience project management according to the 44 processes defined in PMI's PMBOK 3rd edition. All the 5 process groups will need to be used in order to successfully complete the project.
The main deliverable produced by each team is a structure called Geodesic Dome, built from old newspapers, wh-ch must be planned, executed and controlled in real time using PMI® framework. As acceptance criteria, the Dome has to be strong enough to stand with the PMBOK® on top of it (work should support PMBOK®literally!).
This event can be run as public or in house for 12- 44 People
LinqSynQ
It is a modular build up program that can serve/support a number of objectives, for example:
  • Teambuilding
  • Major project preparation
  • Project/process simulation
  • Creating project management knowledge
  • Creating team awareness of different roles and positions in projects from a project management point of view. For example sponsor, client, project manager, team leader, etc.
It touches on all 9 knowledge areas and the 44 processes. It can be slightly modified to support a PRINCE2 approach as well. The modular build up means that we can bring in more modules to create complexity depending on the needs/objectives of the exercise. Typically the workshop can last from ½ day to 3 days for a standard approach.
 
TeamBuilding
A peak performing team is critical in the execution of programmes and projects.
SynergySynQ has a number of workshops and activities available that cover the area of creating high performing teams. Varying from short sessions to multi week engagements.
ProjectRecovery
Despite all preparation and efforts, it happens that projects are not going well. Delays, overruns, conflicts, etc.
SynergySynQ has developed a systematic approach to get the project back on track. We look at both the hard PM processes as well as the human factor.
Where possible, we try to keep the original team together and solve the causes of the deviations rather then just steaming ahead.
