1.1.3 Maturity Assessments
OPM3
With the increasing competition putting pressure on organizations to perform, they want to be sure to optimise the use of resources and time. In order to know where to optimise, it is important know how the organization is performing and use a model to approach that.
OPM3 is PMI's organizational project management maturity model and helps assessing your organization. It does that using the OPM3 ProductSuite, which is the result of a cooperation between PMI and DNV.  The OPM3 ProductSuite Tools provide robust Assessment and Improvement tools and methodology. The tools allow rigorous inspection of the organization’s total project management maturity to a degree that have never before been available.
OPM3 ProductSuite Services currently consists of a comprehensive Assessment database, an OPM3 ProductSuite Provider Registry, and a Registered OPM3 Consultancy status. Benchmarking is also being considered as a future OPM3 ProductSuite Service.
The assessment covers portfolio, programme and project management on organisational level
P3M3
When your organization is working along the lines of the APM GROUP standards there is another maturity model that can be used to measure how the organization is doing. P3M3, the Portfolio, Programme and Project Management Maturity Model is a reference guide for structured best practice.  It breaks down the broad disciplines of portfolio, programme and project management into a hierarchy of Key Process Areas (KPAs).
The hierarchical approach enables organisations to assess their current capability and then plot a roadmap for improvement prioritised by those KPAs which will make the biggest impact on performance.
Outperform are licensed by the APM Group to assess organisations against the OGC's PRINCE2™ Maturity Model (P2MM) and the new Portfolio, Programme and Project Management Maturity Model (P3M3).  Assessments are conducted by Registered Consultants.
When the assessment has been done, we would then be able to assist you in preparing for the change to the desired level and get you to the destination.
